Selecting the Right Fish for your Aquarium

You will enjoy having fish for pets, but only if you know how to care for them. Aquariums form a beautiful section of a house. But the work involved in keeping an aquarium can put off so many people. Should you manage that task, you shall find them to be great pets to have around. This calls for you to select fish that shall be easy to care for. You need to also select breeds that can live among others. Here are examples of such fish for you to consider.
Danios are among the small, active and colorful kinds. These are normally in red, yellow and green. They are lively but hardly aggressive and live well with other species. They prefer a large aquarium with gravel and plants at the bottom, with pH levels close to that of fresh water.
Black Molly has no preference for the water conditions. You will find them easier to care for. They are commonly seen as platinum colored, dusty gold or black. They prefer to eat flake and pellet foods, bloodworms and brine shrimp. They are social, but do not do well here there are large fish.
Platies shall be in more color, such as in blue, purple, red-orange, and yellow. They can be bred to produce more color blends. They are passive, and don’t mind living with other passive fish are. They are small, where the males are the smaller sized ones. They do well in warmer water and eat flake food, freeze-dried food, and algae.
You will find Betta fish in shapes like half-moon, double-tail and crown tail. They like their water warmer, and changed regularly.
Neon Tetra have silver or white abdomens with bright blue backs. They have no problem living with other species.
Guppies are the most playful of them all, and love to breed. If you have few of them, with time they shall multiply a lot. Their females may grow to be two times the size of the males. The males are however the brighter colored ones.
Rainbow fish have several colors on. They shall then grow more colorful when they settle in their new aquarium. They will also not be so active and prefer the company of less active fish as well.
Glofish are like Danios, save for their neon shine. They are also less active fish.
